His parallel works The Film Theoists and The Food Theoists focus on similar themes in cinema / internet and food. In 2015, Patrick created one of the first live game channels on YouTube, GTLive, and in 2016, he created the YouTube Premium MatPat Game Lab series. In 2018, MatPat joined Joey Graceffa alongside other Youtuber guests for the third season of Graceffa's Escape the Night Premium YouTube series. He appeared in season 4, first in the opening of episode 1, then as an assistant in episode 6. By February 2021, he had accumulated more than 28 million subscribers and more than 5 billion views in total on its four channels.
